About Paul Harrison – Short Bio
Paul’s passion for all things betting-related previously led him to the University of Salford, where he obtained his degree in Business Economics with Gambling Studies – having convinced his parents that it was, indeed, a real thing. Paul counts horse racing and online slots amongst his specialist subjects but is a lover of all sports and has had articles published encompassing the whole sports and gambling spectrum.
Fields of Interest
Paul’s passion for sports and betting began early in life, with a love of horse racing passed down from his grandfathers on both sides of the family. Whilst initially drawn to the excitement, Paul quickly became fascinated by the form and data behind the races, fostering a mathematical approach which has remained throughout his life and spread far beyond the realms of the gee-gees.
Poker joined Paul’s gambling portfolio in sixth form, followed by casino gaming and a deeper understanding of betting theory at Salford University. Initially writing horse racing articles as a hobby, Paul now provides content across a wide range of sports and betting subjects, aiming to make the unclear clear whilst always remembering to have at least a little fun. Gambling is part of the entertainment industry, after all.
When not at his desk, you are most likely to find Paul pursuing his second love of music at a variety of gigs around the northeast, strapping himself in for the latest instalment of life as a Newcastle United fan, or out walking his best friend – Arlo, the dog. Living by the mantra “Why have one hobby when you can have ten?” Paul is also an avid reader of Science Fiction, a Board Game enthusiast, and an aspiring vegan chef.
