9. Payment Rules

9.1 Making deposits

Information about payment methods can be found under both “My Account” and “Deposit” pages of the Site. The payment methods made available to you, the average processing times and applicable service fees may change. Some payment methods may not be available in all countries.

When choosing a payment method you agree to the terms of that payment method and agree to any charges or service fees that apply on the deposits and withdrawals you make through such payment methods, and that the payment method is valid and that the payment account or card belongs to you and you have the right to use the payment method.

It is unlawful to deposit money which has been obtained illegally.

We accept payments made in EUR, SEK, NOK, DKK, USD, GBP, CSK, PLN or such other currency as is made available in the currency drop down from time to time. You must choose one currency as the currency of Your Account depending on the country you are playing from. Any payments received in a currency other than the one chosen by you will be converted into the currency of Your Account at the exchange rate we choose. Also, any exchange premiums are payable by you.

When payment is made using a credit card, we may request a certified copy of that credit card (front and back). Please ensure that only the first 6 digits and the last 4 digits of the card are visible and that the CVV/CVV2 number on the back of the card is also not visible. The credit card you use must be in your name and cannot be in the name of another person. Please note: For customers residing in Great Britain and Northern Ireland, credit cards are no longer accepted as a payment method as from 14 April 2020.

We do not accept cash directly or cash delivered to any payment solution provider.

Identity verification of a customer is triggered upon the customer reaches the amount of two thousand euro (€2000) in deposits, whether such threshold was reached in a single transaction or a series of transactions within a rolling period of 180 days. We may also carry out these verification procedures even in case of lower deposits or in case of any withdrawals.

For Swedish residents, identity verification is carried out with every new registration or log-in to this Site through the use of third party providers. All other identity verification rules laid out in general Terms & Conditions are also applicable to the Swedish users of this Site.

In certain scenarios your card transaction may be processed by E-Pro, in which case the following general conditions apply:

E-Pro is a payment solution provided by EMP Corp based on E-money and E-wallet. E-Pro is an E-voucher issued by EMP Corp, an E-money agent of CFS ZIPP Ltd (UK). CFS ZIPP Ltd is a registered E-money institution with Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs certificate no: 900027, and fully authorized by the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) with reference: 900027.

An E-voucher stores electronic money, and is generated in the event of an intervention by EMP Corp to pay for the services offered on the site. If the payment service provider is EMP Corp, the transaction will result in the creation and purchase of electronic money. This is issued by an E-money issuer and used to credit an E-wallet.

9.2 Payouts

When the outcome of a Game you take part in is determined, or when we confirm the result of an event, any winnings will be made available to you on Your Account.

If we mistakenly credit Your Account with winnings that do not belong to you for any reason, these will be taken back from Your Account. If you have withdrawn these winnings before we become aware of this error, you must immediately inform us and will be required to pay this back. If you do not we will take all legal action available to us to recover this debt.

9.3 Withdrawals

You may withdraw any amount up to the “Available to Bet” balance in Your Account by issuing a valid notice of withdrawal. Notices for withdrawals must be made on the Site only.

If you want to withdraw all your funds, you must first cancel any outstanding stakes.

You agree that funds in Your Account must only be used for playing the Games found on the Site. If you request a withdrawal without turning over an amount that is equal or more than the amount deposited we may require you to make a turnover of the full or part of the previous deposit/s made and/or charge a fee on the withdrawal requested. This will be done in line with our internal security processes and procedures. We can reject a withdrawal request if we suspect that funds are being withdrawn for any fraudulent or money laundering reasons.

Prior to accepting a withdrawal we may request that you provide legal identification for example certified copies of passports, ID cards or other such documentation as we feel is required in the circumstances. We may also carry out phone verification, face verification or other such verification as is required to ensure that you are who you say you are.

Where withdrawal is to be made using a credit card, we may request a certified copy of that credit card (front and back). Please ensure that only the first 6 digits and the last 4 digits of the card are visible and that the CVV/CVV2 number on the back of the card is also not visible. The credit card you use must be in your name and cannot be in the name of another person.

You may only withdraw the maximum amount of Euro 50,000 (or the equivalent in Your Account currency) in any twenty-four hour period unless a larger amount has been agreed by us. This is not applicable to players in Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

All withdrawals must be done through the same payment method chosen by you when placing a deposit, unless we decide otherwise or are unable to do so. If you deposit using a number of payment methods, we reserve the right to split your withdrawal across such payment methods and process each part through the respective payment method at our discretion and in accordance with anti-money laundering policies and regulation.

We may request that you redirect your withdrawal or cancel it or request that it is redirected to a different method of withdrawal in accordance with anti-money laundering polices and/or regulation.

Cancellation of a withdrawal (whether this was made by you or us) does not entitle you to any compensation should you choose to play with the funds in Your Account before any withdrawal is completed.

We reserve the right to charge a reasonable administrative fee in the event that you proceed with more than 25 approved withdrawals/payout requests during one (1) calendar month. The reasonable administrative fee shall be 2% of the transaction value but no less than EUR 5 or currency equivalent. It shall be charged on each withdrawal following the 25th withdrawal within each given month. This is not applicable to players in Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

More information about withdrawal methods is available under the “Withdrawal” pages of the Site. The methods made available to you, the average processing times and applicable service fees may change.

9.4 Chargebacks

If a chargeback on a card or depositing method you have used is requested by the payment method provider, we may take the following steps:

If we are unable to confirm your identity and the payment method used in order to credit the account in question, we will send out two reminder emails and these will be subject to a reasonable administrative fee of fifty (50) euros each or currency equivalent, withdrawn from Your Account funds which are unrelated to the chargeback.

The balance of Your Account may turn negative in cases of chargeback.

10. Closing Your Account

10.1 You can close Your Account at any time, by contacting support directly on support-en@betsson.com

10.2 When you close your Account:

10.3 If you want to recover funds from closed, blocked or excluded accounts, you need to contact support.

10.4 If you are closing Your Account because you have a problem with gambling addiction please refer to our responsible gaming rules.

11. Inactive accounts

11.1 An inactive account is an account that has not been accessed or logged in to for an uninterrupted period of 12 months.

11.2 Once Your Account becomes inactive, we will charge a fee of EUR 5.00 per month from your account as an administrative fee until your account real money balance reaches zero, unless you log in to Your Account or withdraw the funds. We will contact you via e-mail 30 days prior to your account becoming inactive to notify you of the consequences thereof.

11.3 If you log in after we began charging Your Account with the administrative fee we will cease charging your Account with the administrative fee. You may also request a full refund of the administrative fees charged up until then by contacting support. The period of inactivity starts to run again from your last log-in date.

11.4 For Swedish residents, account inactivity will not result in any charges. Any existing balance on closed or self-excluded accounts can be returned to you upon contact with our customer service. We will endeavour to return all funds to you so that the balance goes to zero under the circumstances as explained above.

We reserve the right to close inactive accounts with zero real money balance at our own discretion.

12. Bonuses

12.1 Any Bonus is only available once per person, family, household, address, e-mail address, credit card number, bank account, telephone number, computer/device and / or IP address.

12.2 Any “welcome” Bonuses are only available to new customers whom open an account on the Site and whom have never held an account on the Site before, have never received a welcome offer of any kind and who are invited to take part in a welcome offer by virtue of it being specifically offered to them when they register on the Site.

12.3 Some bonuses must be manually activated by you in Your Account. Unless stated otherwise you can do this after logging into Your Account and depositing the amount required to access the Bonus. Such Bonuses can only be activated when real money is available in Your Account. If you play with any of your deposited funds prior to claiming the Bonus, lost funds cannot be used to activate the Bonus.

12.4 Rest of the World Customers The bonus amount will be placed into a Bonus Balance and will be kept separate from your Cash Balance. When you claim a Bonus, your real money, the Bonus and all winnings generated from them will remain as Bonus money, subject to restriction and not withdrawable or wagered on other products until wagering requirements are met. Your balance will be available again only when you have met the Wagering Requirements, that is, when the sum in your Bonus Balance linked to the active bonus will be transferred into your Cash Balance.

12.5 All Bonuses have a wagering requirement that needs to be completed within a given time frame before any potential winnings and/or bonuses can be withdrawn. The Wagering Requirements of a Bonus means the total amount of bets you must stake before the Bonus and any accrued winnings are transferred into your Cash Balance and can be withdrawn. The Wagering Requirements for each Bonus are set out in the specific terms for the Bonus and will be expressed as a multiple of the Bonus amount, or of the Bonus plus the Deposit amount, along with a time limit by which this amount must be played through. Failure to meet the required wagering requirements and/or forfeit of an active Bonus for any reason may result in the forfeit of all winnings attained throughout the wagering process of the Bonus. Any attempt to withdraw any funds or cash out any placed bets prior to the complete fulfilment of the Bonus wagering requirement, may result in the Bonus and any winnings attained being forfeited. System bets do not count towards the wagering requirements. Only bets that have been placed and settled during the campaign period will be considered towards the wagering requirements. Any bets that are placed and settled outside this period will not count.

For customers in Great Britain and Northern Ireland only: Cash Balance will not be restricted and may be withdrawn at any time by You. You therefore have a right to withdraw your cash deposit or any remaining cash deposit and any cash winnings from this deposit. Please be aware that if this is withdrawn, the bonus and any winnings from the bonus may be forfeited if You have not met the bonus requirements.

12.6 Any evidence or reasonable suspicion that specific bets were placed on any Game (i.e. betting in proportions on different outcomes in the same hand to create “action”) without risk will not qualify for any wagering requirement. Examples of bets without risk include betting on red and black simultaneously in Roulette, and betting player and banker simultaneously in Baccarat. If you are found to be colluding with other players, for example, one person betting on the player, the other betting on the banker, you will have your bets cancelled, account closed and all deposits made by you may be forfeited.

12.7 Where any Bonus is capable of (for example due to enhanced odds) giving you guaranteed or increased chances of profits irrespective of the outcome; and we have any evidence or reasonable suspicion that you have placed a bet or multiple bets (alone or in a group of players) across any of the websites belonging to Betsson Group on such a Bonus, then we may withdraw the Bonus and all winnings attained by you during the wagering of the Bonus and we may also close Your account and withhold all funds remaining on Your Account at our absolute discretion.

12.8 If you cancel the Bonus, You will lose the Bonus and all winnings generated from the Bonus. Details on the applicable restrictions can be found in the specific terms of the promotion.

12.9 We have the right to refuse any player a Bonus or we may alter the Bonus (including cancellation), if we believe that:

12.10 We offer promotions in good faith to players who use our services for entertainment purposes. We reserve the right to cancel or remove a player’s access to these games in the case of suspected abuse of this offer and also, should we deem so necessary, terminate the offender’s account with immediate effect. In the case of an offender’s account being closed, we will not be liable to refund any losses made by a player on any games or to refund any balances on the players account. ‘Abuse’ includes but is not limited to using software and/or opening multiple accounts in order to gain an unfair advantage on a Bonus. In all cases of abuse, we retain the right to withhold all winnings and any balances remaining on Your Account.

Therefore: If we notice that a bonus is being abused and/or the bonus terms are being breached, we may take the following actions against such abusers:

12.11 All Bonuses are intended for recreational players and/or as tokens of appreciation to our customers and we therefore reserve the right to restrict eligibility to participate in all or part of any Bonus.

12.12 The maximum withdrawal amount allowed from winnings earned from any bonus or free spins/bonus spins offer before a deposit has been made is €100 or the equivalent in your account currency.

12.13 Unless stated otherwise on the specific bonus landing pages, all Bonuses in Casino have got a max bet restriction in place of €6 per game round or €.50c bet per line (or currency equivalent) and failure to adhere to this max bet rule may result in account closure and forfeit of the Bonus and any winnings attained during the wagering of the Bonus. For currency equivalent, the following conversion rates shall apply unless specifically stated otherwise in the Bonus terms and conditions:

12.14 Irregular Play

At any time, we may decide to review all records and play transactions and / or to monitor your use of any Bonus or Bonuses. If Irregular play is suspected, we reserve the right to disqualify you from any free spins/bonus spins promotion or Bonus or other form of promotion and / or withhold all deposits and / or winnings and / or close Your Account. Irregular play is considered bonus abuse and is not permitted on the Site. Irregular play can include (but is not limited to) low margin betting, equal betting, zero risk bets or hedge betting. A pop up will appear to remind you that you have been playing for one hour. This will be done every hour. This pop up will remind you of how much you lost and how much you won. You will then select to continue to enjoy our Games or log out.

This pop up might appear later than the automatic one hour schedule if your Game does not allow for temporary suspension. This pop up will appear immediately after your Game ends once you have come back to our lobby. We will not always be able to apply the Session Time Limit or Reality Check on the time promised. For example, if you play auto spin games, live games or games which are not hosted on our Site we will be unable to apply the Session Time Limit or Reality Check reminders until the game has finished or you return to our lobby.

You can deactivate the Reality Check at any time by opting-out on the pop up. If you would like to reactivate this, kindly contact support or refer to ‘My Account’ tab.

If you are a Swedish resident:

When logged into any of the websites available in Sweden, a pop up will appear to remind you that you have been playing for one hour. The same will happen every hour thereafter. This pop up will inform you of a) how much you have lost b) how much you have won and c) how much time you have been logged into your account. You may then select to either continue to enjoy our Games or exit the games and go to the main lobby.

If you are a resident in Great Britain or Northern Ireland:

You can switch on Reality Check notifications on desktop or mobile. Click on your username and go to “My Account”, then click on “Responsible Gaming – Reality Check”. You can then select the frequency that you prefer. Turning on the Reality Check means that you’ll be informed every 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour or 2 hours depending on your chosen frequency. The Reality Check will include information about your current gaming session with regards to time spent, win/loss and the option to either continue playing or leave the game.

Please note that sometimes our Reality Check pop up will display different buttons to continue playing or to exit the game depending on the game provider. Some providers may log you out of Betsson when you select to exit the game.

Lastly, you will not be receiving any marketing campaigns or personal messages from us until your self-exclusion period expires. This is to prevent gambling being promoted to you in a time where you have taken some time to assess your gambling behaviour.

You may want to take a break from gambling and a ‘cooling-off period’ can be set for a period of 24 hours, 1 week, 3 weeks or 6 weeks. 28. Betsson VIP Club – Betsson’s Rewards Program

28.1 When you successfully register on the Site, You automatically become a member of Betsson VIP Club. You will earn points when playing the Site’s games for real money, except when playing Poker by Microgaming.

28.2 Betsson’s Rewards Program as described below is not applicable towards customers residing in Sweden.

28.3 Each time you play the Site’s games for real money you will earn VIP points. Different games award different amounts of VIP points.

28.4 Gaming on the Site for real money is the premium way to earn Betsson points. VIP points are converted into Betsson points based on Your status level, meaning the more VIP points You get during a month, the more Betsson points You will accumulate.

28.5 At the start of each month, We will determine how many Betsson points You have and You can then convert them into cash at Your convenience. As an example, all points that You earn throughout the entire month of March will become available for use on the 1st of April.

28.6 All Betsson points in one calendar month will determine Your member level the next month. The different Member levels within the Betsson VIP programme are Bronze, Silver and Gold.

28.7 The higher member level, the more Betsson points You will receive for gaming. The member levels are as follows:

28.7.1 Gold: 50 VIP Points = Betsson Points x 4. E.g. 100 VIP Points = 400 Betsson Points.

28.7.2 Silver: 15 VIP Points = Betsson Points x 2. E.g. 100 VIP Points = 200 Betsson Points.

28.7.3 Bronze: 0 VIP Points = Betsson Points x 1. E.g. 100 VIP Points = 100 Betsson Points.

28.8 The level of membership is determined on the first date of each month and is valid until the last date of the same month. If, on the 1st of April, You reach a Silver membership level, based on the Your gaming in March, You will stay on that level until the last day of April.

28.9 Betsson points can be exchanged for real money in the same currency You have selected to play with, on the Site. One Hundred (100) points is the minimum number of points that can be exchanged at one time. One Hundred (100) points Is worth the equivalent of €1.

28.10 You can exchange reward points into cash by going to “My Account”, choose “VIP Club Status” and select “Exchange Points”. You then enter the number of reward points You wish to exchange for cash and select ‘exchange’. Points will be exchanged for cash and added to Your Account immediately.

28.11 Points redeemed for real money will be added to Your account. You can then use the money to continue playing on our Site or withdraw the amount in full.

28.12 Withdrawing money exchanged from Betssons VIP club will incur the standard transaction fees as indicated by the withdrawal method you select.

28.13 Betsson points are valid for six (6) months after the date they become available. For example, the points You earn throughout the entire month of March will become available for use on the 1st of April. These are valid until the 30th of September. If You have not used them by then, they will expire and You will lose them.

28.14 From time to time the Site will run promotions that are only open to players who belong to the higher levels of the Reward Program.

28.15 The points You earn, be it VIP points or Betsson points are Yours and are non-transferable to others.

28.16 The points will be updated every 24 hours.

28.17 All necessary information regarding number of earned points and available points are shown in “My Account page”.

28.18 For practical reasons all points are rounded to nearest decimal when presented. The underlying calculation is always based on two decimals meaning that payments and levels are based on two decimals calculations.

28.19 Your Betsson points are updated almost in real time. If You exchange reward points for cash, the transaction will show in Your transaction history at once.

28.20 The Site has the right to withhold or amend the promotion at any time without prior warning.

28.21 Betsson reserves the right to change the Rules including the rules for the Betsson Rewards Program (Betsson VIP Club) at any time, e.g. change the parameters for calculations of Points. If We suspect that You are engaged in illegal or fraudulent activities when using the Rewards Program or in breach with the Site T&Cs, We may freeze or terminate Your Member Account and/or a related at the Site’s absolute discretion.

We may, at our absolute discretion, choose to accept or decline a Cashout Request. A Cashout Request may not be accepted for reasons including but not limited to a change in odds or the suspension of a market (including any leg of a multi wager).

If a Cashout Request is not accepted for some reason, a message will be shown advising you that the Cashout Request was declined and a new Cashout Price may be offered to you. If you did not make a Cashout Request in relation to the new Cashout Price offered, settlement of the original wager will take place, based on the original instructions and odds when the wager was accepted.

Where a Cashout Request has been accepted:

The acceptance of a Cashout Request does not represent a new wager, it is an agreement to end the original wager early.

The Cashout Price is inclusive of your original stake. The Cashout Price is non-negotiable and will not exceed the value of the original estimated return.

You will not be eligible for any Bonuses or any other promotions in relation to wagers that have been successfully Cashed Out.

Any wager which is Cashed Out will not be considered a wager for the purposes of meeting any turnover or wagering requirements for Bonuses, rewards, prizes, or any tasks necessary to fulfil a campaign or promotional offering.

In the event that a Cashout Request has been accepted in error (including where a Cashout Price has been incorrectly offered) or an amount has been incorrectly credited to Your account in connection with a wager that has been Cashed Out, We reserve the right, at our absolute discretion, to adjust the account to the extent necessary to rectify the error or the incorrect credit. Such adjustment may include:

If, as a result of any such adjustment, the account goes into debit, we may recover from your account, as a debt due, the amount of the deficiency in the account.

We reserve the right to suspend, amend, restrict or cease to offer Cashout at any time, on any market or to any customer, without providing a reason or advance notification, even where Cashout has been advertised to a customer as being available. We are not liable for any losses which may arise in connection with Cashout not being available to a Customer, even in circumstances where Cashout has been advertised as being available for a particular event or at a particular time.

We reserve the right, at our absolute discretion, to void the original wager which was Cashed Out, refuse to Cashout a wager, or require repayment of any amounts paid by Us in respect of the original wager (including the Cashout Price) where:

You acknowledge and accept that circumstances within or beyond Our control may prevent, limit or delay the operation of Cashout, and that We will not be liable to any person for any loss incurred or sustained in connection with or as a result of:

We are not liable for any losses which may arise in connection with a Customer’s use of the Cashout feature or a Cashout Request being accepted or declined by us.

Where a Customer has placed a wager on a market that was not available for Cashout at the time the wager was placed by the customer, the customer will not be able to make a Cashout Request in relation to that wager, even if we subsequently make Cashout available on that market.

5. General rules

If nothing else is specifically stated in the rules and regulations below or in the Event/Market Specific Rules on the Website, the decision of the official governing body relating to the Event at 24:00 hours (local time on the day of event) shall determine the result. Disqualifications or any other changes to the outcome of the Event after this time are irrelevant for betting purposes if an official result already exists.

Betsson will attempt to close the events, i.e. settle markets, as soon as possible after event completion, but will not make any guarantees for maximum delays. When the result of a bet determined before the event is complete will be settled as per our rules even if the event is abandoned or the length of the event is shortened for whatever reason.

Be sure to check your slip before you confirm your bet. Unfortunately we do not process requests to void any bets that were made by mistake.

In case of contradictions between the rules and regulations and other parts of the Agreement for Clients the following order of priority shall apply (1 overrules 2 & 3 etc.):

  1. Event/Market Specific Rules
  2. Rules and regulations
  3. Terms and conditions

6. Abandoned events

In case a betting event is discontinued the current score at that point in time counts if the minimum requirements are fulfilled for the specific sport or there exist an official result within 36 hours of the deadline. The markets on the event that are already decided will be valid, for instance “half time” result in a match abandoned in second half. All other markets on this betting event are rated at 1.00.

In case an event is abandoned and is scheduled to restart from the beginning, all bets placed before the initial match which were still undetermined prior to abandonment will be declared void regardless of whether or when the match is continued.

7. Cancellations

All related bets to cancelled events will be void, and the stakes will be transferred back to involved parties. Multiple bets will be calculated again excluding the event that was abandoned.

8. Changes to venue

Only if the venue is changed to the former away team’s home venue, all related bets are deemed void. If the event is changed to another venue, all related bets are still valid. This rule will only apply for events where the parties have a home arena.

9. Dead heats

In case two or more participants at an outright event are declared winners the odds for the participants in the outright will be divided by the number of participants involved in the draw scenario.

10. No show

In case of a participant not attending a particular event as scheduled, all related bets are still valid unless the event thereby is cancelled. Example: If Usain Bolt fails to show up at the World Championships, bets relating to Usain Bolt as winner etc are still valid for outright betting.

11. Postponed events

A bet is declared void on a cancelled or a postponed match or event, which within 12 hours after the original official scheduled start time has not been started.

12. Live betting

We also reserve the right to suspend betting during an event due to failed transmission or other technical related issues or if we suspect fraud. The deadline for placing bets may vary between different events. We do not tolerate deliberate and repeated incidents of late betting, this will be considered to be fraud and we will deal with it accordingly. We assume no responsibility for typing, transmission and/or evaluation errors. In particular, we reserve the right to correct obvious errors with the input of betting odds and/or the evaluation of betting results even after the event – or to declare affected bets void. Betsson assumes no liability for the accuracy of live scores, statistics or other information/data that we provide for the live betting. The score displayed and further information (e.g. time, scorer) on site is for reference only. We do not guarantee the accuracy of this information.

14. Outright

No refunds for non starters and unlisted winners. For ‘Place’ offers ‘Dead heat Rules’ do not apply, and winning bets will be paid the full listed odds regardless if there are more winning participants than places resulting from draws. Stakes will be refunded if one or both of the horses in a head-to-head are non-runners, if the race is abandoned or if both horses fail to complete the course/fail to record an official time.

When two horses paired in a head-to-head dead heat then bets will be void and stakes refunded. Both/all horses are unplaced with identical total times (Norway only).

Best Result

Stakes will be refunded if at least one of the horses withdraws before the race and if there are withdrawals in one or both races according to the following:

H2H Couple :

Two participants are combined to form a “team”. The “team” with the best (individual) final result (of an individual participant) wins the duel. If one or more participants do not start, the stakes will be refunded.

H2H Time handicap

The horse that finishes with the best kilometer time, including the time handicap, wins the duel.

Example: If horse A gets 15,0 in kilometer time and is handicapped with 0,2 seconds, its total kilometer time will then be 15,2 seconds. If horse B, who is not handicapped, gets 15,1 in kilometer time, the H2H is won by horse B. Should the horses end up with the same kilometer time, the draw alternative will be the correct one. If, for any reason, there are no official times for the horses, the following rules stand for Time Handicap:

Bets will be cancelled if the handicapped horse is ahead of his opponent in the result list, and they both finish the race.

If the handicapped horse (by 0.1 sec or more) is after the opponent in the result list, the opponent is the winner of the duel. The opponent must also finish the race.

If one of the horses fails to finish the race, the other one wins the duel. If none of the horses finishes the race, bets are cancelled.
