Okay, so you would like to turn, let’s say, your guest room into a gambling paradise. How to do it? First off, think how you would like the room to look like. Sketch it out if it’s easier for you, think of what you would like to have in your gambling room. Are there going to be slot machines, are you going to put a poker table or a wheel of fortune? You have a lot of options and you’ll have to think well because you’re going to need your wallet. Also, think if the interior suits you – if you want to change the colour of the room, do it! If you want to just change the furniture – go ahead! The point is you to feel good and to make the room as you like. Now that you’ve visualized how it would look like, here are some suggestions on what to put in it. Keep on reading!

Buy or DIY a Slot Machine or Two!

Let’s be honest – there is no casino without at least one slot machine! There are even gaming rooms that are all-things-slot and they are epic! However, it might be a little bit pricey to get a big machine. With modern technology making its way into the gambling business as well, there are a lot of new slot machines that are digital and, well, it’s not like the old ones! You could find some on eBay but prepare to invest a lot of money and time in the machine! Why not try something easier? Just buy smaller ones! There is a fine selection on Amazon and the machines are pretty affordable. Plus, they’re small and easy to move around and they work with real money! Yes, most of these slots are toys but they’ll still give the casino vibe to your gambling room. Or, if you feel like you would like to DIY it – there are a lot of great video tutorials on how to make a slot machine with cardboard and other materials you probably have laying around at home. You’ll impress everyone with your crafting skills!

Spin the Roulette!

When we think about roulette, we think of James Bond at Casino Royale and of almost every other movie that involves gambling! Playing Roulette is not only for fun, but it’s also about sophistication and well, that’s it. Of course, again we have a buy and a DIY option here. For the buy – there are a lot of places where you could purchase a Roulette wheel or a whole set on a great price. You could even turn it into a drinking game to make it more fun! For the DIY – there are a lot of great tutorials online that will help you find your inner crafter and make a fun Roulette game from scratch! If you don’t want to use hot glue and cardboard and want to have a big Roulette table ready for action, here’s what you’ll need:

1. A Roulette Wheel
2. A Wooden Table or a few sheets of plywood and table legs
3. Wood Glue and a Stapler
4. A Jigsaw
5. Drill
6. Cloth

The process is like the one in our other article, where we show you how to build a poker table, with the difference that for the Roulette table you won’t need foam and you’ll have to make the shape and the holes on the table suitable for the game. Be careful! And call a friend to join in – a little extra help will make things easier!

What Other Games To Include?

In the last few paragraphs, we talked about some tips and tricks on what games to include and how to make/buy them. However, we know there could be more! These are more like games for a casino-themed party, but they are also perfect for an actual gambling room. Plus, the more games the better! Here are a few suggestions:

1. Pinball Machine – just because it’s fun!
2. Craps – you could easily buy a Craps set or be crafty and make your own dice and wooden stick. You can use a normal dining table or a pool table. Or, if you’ve made the poker table from our other blog post – perfect! It will work as a Craps table as well. And there you have it!
3. Chuck-A-Luck – this game is also known as ‘Birdcage’ and it’s a variant of Sic Bo. You will need: three dice, that you could easily buy or make from wood or other material, a game layout (you can easily find a printable online or buy one) and a tumbler.
4. Darts – because why not? You can easily make the game on your own or you could buy one from our trusted friends from Amazon. A Darts set will definitely bring even more man cave vibes! Or lady vibes, whatever the case – it’ll be legit!
5. Bingo – this is a lot of fun to make so we suggest you get your DIY mode on! You can easily use ping pong balls and write the numbers with a marker, then put all the balls in a big bowl and get started! There are free printable templates on the Internet to make the bingo cards or you could make them by hand.

How To Turn The Gambling Room Into a Man Cave?

So, we have the games, but we need to figure out how the room will look like first! Ladies, no offence, but right now we’re going to share some tips on how to create the ultimate man cave! We’ll share some ideas on colour, design, comfort and more. Stay tuned!

1. Pick a Colour That Will Match the Vibe

Burgundy red, grey, dark brown or green, or even something like a creamy-white might suit the gambling room very well in our opinion. If you don’t want to paint the room all over again, you could easily work with that you have as colour and then just pick the right lighting to bring the effect you want to achieve. 2. Leave the Lights On!

This is mostly about those types of man caves that are situated in some kind of dark lower-level room, something like a basement. But it’s applicable for any room, actually! Have you noticed how in the movies often times the gambling rooms are a little bit dark, with lighting here and there that is a little bit blurred out somehow? Yeah, something like that, especially if the light looks like this:

3. Sit Like a Sir!

Let’s decorate a little bit

We mentioned in the beginning that it’s good if you have an idea of how the gambling room should look like overall – colours, furniture, etc. How about a little bit of decorating? Roll the Dice – You’re going to be prepared with dice for the games but what about a pair of big dice as décor? All you need is cardboard or Styrofoam cubes, scissors, glue, black and white paper or paint and some imagination!

Enter Wonderland – or in other words, make your door to look like a giant card. Just cut off the shapes for the card you want from cardboard or paper and position them on the door like a real playing card. It should look something like this:

Roll the Dice – Oops, Shots! – yup, let’s spice it up a little bit with an alcoholic appetizer. It’s especially appropriate to make it for a party at home. Jello dice shots!

Playing Cards Art – there are a lot of DIY ideas to make some interesting things from cards. You can make either a house of cards or a big ball which will look really good somewhere in the room.

Add a Little Neon – Put up some neon signs or lamps here and there. It will make the lighting more interesting and most neon lamps are weird and cool. It’ll be a great conversation starter!

Hall of Fame – Don’t leave the walls empty! We suggest you add some interesting art or movie/sports posters. Or, if you want to show off in front of your friends, make your own Hall of Fame with all your trophies and diplomas. We believe people will be impressed!
