2. These Terms
2.2 Please refer carefully to these Terms before you start to use any part of the Service. We recommend that you print a copy of these Terms for future reference. 5. Player Account

Account Password and Security
5.4 When registering for an Account, you will be asked to choose a username and password to be used in conjunction with your Account. You may not use a username that we deem offensive or inappropriate.
5.5 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the username and password associated with your Account. You are responsible for all uses of your Account where your username and password have been entered correctly (whether authorised or unauthorised). You are also responsible for the security of any device(s) used to access your Account and any other activities taking place on or via your Account.
5.6 You agree:
5.6.1 to keep your username and password confidential and not share them with anyone else (and you acknowledge that your Account cannot be co-owned with anyone else);

5.7 You acknowledge and agree that we are authorised to act on instructions received through the use of your username and password.

If any winnings should derive from third party access to your Account they will be confiscated and your Account permanently closed.

6. Account Rules
6.1 You may not participate in a game or place any bet or conduct any other gambling transaction via the Site unless you are registered to the Site and hold an Account with sufficient funds in it. By completing the registration process, you represent and warrant that:
6.1.1 you are over eighteen (18) years of age;
6.1.2 you are not a resident of any of the countries listed in paragraph 6.2 below or any other jurisdiction in which internet gambling is wholly or partially restricted. It is your responsibility to verify that you are permitted to bet with us according to the jurisdiction of your domicile or habitual residence and/or in which you are located and you agree that you will not bet with us while you are located in a jurisdiction which prohibits you from betting with us. 6.1.3 you are fully able and competent and of legal capacity to enter into these Terms and use the Service;

6.1.5 you understand and accept the risk that, by using the Service, you may win but may also lose money; and you accept that you are fully responsible for any such loss. You accept that any amounts lost by you under any bet/wager will not be recoverable from us under any circumstances;
6.1.6 you are not depositing money originating from criminal and/or other unauthorised activities;
6.1.7 you are not depositing money through payment method which you are not authorised to use and/or utilising a payment method in a jurisdiction in which betting and gaming are prohibited; and
6.1.8 you have not had an Account closed by us under paragraph 7 below, or at your request under paragraph 11 below;
6.1.9 you are using our services for legitimate wagering purposes only. In particular, you undertake:
6.1.9.a Not to engage in any activity which has the purpose or effect of causing damage to or in any way hindering our business operations or generating or increasing a liability on us, including without limitation any tax, levy or duty collecting authority;
6.1.9.b Not to bet on, or manipulate any individual market in a manner which we believe has the purpose or effect of adversely affecting the integrity of the market;
6.1.9.c Not to transmit information that assists in the placing of bets or wagers on any sporting event or contest from any territory where it is illegal to do so; and/or
6.1.9.d Not to procure or otherwise arrange, whether directly or indirectly, for a third party to transmit information that assists in the placing of bets or wagers on any sporting event or contest from any territory where it is illegal to do so.

6.3 If we discover or reasonably believe that you have opened, maintained, used and/or operated an Account in breach of paragraph 6.1 above, in addition to any other rights that we may have, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate any or all of your Accounts and to terminate, withhold or revoke any ongoing games or pending bets and any winnings otherwise due to you.
6.4 6.4 Where Bethard discovers that you have opened or have attempted to open more than one account for whatever reason, Bethard reserves the right to block or close any or all of your accounts at its sole discretion. Furthermore, if you attempt to open an additional account after your original account has been closed, any funds held in your additional account/s will be forfeited immediately, and no winnings will be paid out under any circumstances.
6.5 In the event that a customer breaches any of the rules listed under Clause 6, or any other terms forming part of Bethard’s Terms & Conditions, Bethard reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to:
6.5.1 decline to open an Account and/or to close an existing Account and/or
6.5.2 decline to accept deposits.
Inactive / Dormant Accounts
6.6 If you do not make any transactions via your Account for a successive period of thirty calendar months, we will attempt to notify you via email of any remaining funds held in the Account.
6.7 Your account will be classed ‘inactive’ if no activity (including logging in/out) occurs after six (6) successive months. A player will be notified that his/her account is due to become inactive no less than thirty (30) days before it is due to become inactive. After twelve (12) months of no activity, the account will be classed as ‘dormant’, and the player will again be contacted. The player will be reminded of any consequences thereof, and will further be provided with the option to withdraw the funds on the account.
6.8 In order to pay out funds held in a dormant or inactive we will require a full verification of your identification, home address, payment method(s) used and bank account.
7. Unsuitable Conduct
7.1 You agree that you shall not participate in or be connected with any form of conduct that we deem to be unsuitable, unfair, improper, detrimental to other players, or otherwise contrary to the operation of the Service (Unsuitable Conduct). If you engage in Unsuitable Conduct, we may, in our sole discretion:
7.1.1 suspend or terminate your Account;
7.1.2 disqualify you from a game, bet, or other gambling transaction and/or the Service; and/or
7.1.3 refuse to award benefits or winnings and/or require the return of any winnings.
7.2 Unsuitable Conduct includes, but is not limited to:
7.2.1 any violation of these Terms;
7.2.2 falsifying personal information required to enter a game, transaction, or claim a prize;
7.2.3 engaging in any type of financial fraud to enter a game, transaction, or claim a prize, including the use of a stolen, cloned or otherwise unauthorised credit or debit card as a source of funds;
7.2.4 use of automated bots or other automated methods of play;
7.2.5 using automated means to interact with the Service in any way, or to obtain, collect or access any information on the Service or any other player;
7.2.6 obtaining other players’ information or spamming other players;
7.2.7 using VPNs/proxies to hide your identity and location when logging onto your Account;
7.2.8 selling, transferring and/or acquiring accounts to/from other players;
7.2.9 transferring funds between player accounts;
7.2.10 colluding with any other individual(s) or engaging in any type of syndicate play;
7.2.11 any type of abuse on offers and/or promotions;
7.2.12 abusing, harassing, impersonating, intimidating or threatening other players;
7.2.13 posting or transmitting (or authorising or causing the posting or transmitting of) any content that is infringing, libellous, defamatory, abusive, offensive, obscene, pornographic or otherwise violates any law or right of any third party; or
7.2.14 otherwise abusing the Service in any way.
7.3 We will not be liable for any loss or damage which you may incur as a result of engaging in any Unsuitable Conduct, and any action we take in respect of the same will be at our sole discretion.
8. Verification and Money Laundering Checks
8.1 As part of the Account registration process, we will perform checks to verify your age and identity. We do this for three main reasons:
8.1.1 to confirm your identity;
8.1.2 to check you are old enough to gamble; and
8.1.3 to verify whether you have self-excluded from gambling.
8.2 In order to participate in paid-for aspects of the Service, you will be required to register a payment method and deposit funds to your Account. By agreeing to these Terms:
8.2.1 you warrant that you are the rightful owner of any payment method registered and of any money which you deposit in your Account at any time; and
8.2.2 you authorise us to undertake any such identification, credit and other verification checks from time to time as we may require or as may be required by third parties.
8.3 When you register a payment method you should be aware that we are required to undertake appropriate checks to verify your age and identity within 72 hours of you making your first deposit with us. During this time you will be able to deposit funds into your Account and participate in games, but you will not be able to request a withdrawal or refund from your Account.
8.4 Where possible, we will attempt to verify your age and identity using the details you have provided against publicly available information, however where this is not possible you may be required to provide us with appropriate documentation to allow us to verify your age and identity
8.5 If we are unable to verify you successfully within 72 hours of you first depositing money into your Account, we are required to suspend your Account and withhold any funds until such time as we have been able to successfully verify your age and identity.
8.6 We may supply your information to authorised third party reference agencies to confirm your identity and payment details. You agree that we may process such information in connection with your Account.
8.7 It is an offence for any person who is under the age of 18 to participate in any paid-for aspects of Service. If we are unable to confirm that you are over 18 years of age then we may suspend your Account until such time as we are able to confirm your age. If you are subsequently, or at any time during the lifetime of the Account, proven to have been under 18 years of age when you participated in paid-for aspects of Service, then:
8.7.1 your Account will be terminated or suspended (at our absolute discretion);
8.7.2 all transactions made whilst you were underage will be made void, and all related funds deposited by you will be returned by the payment method used for the deposit of such funds, wherever practicable; and
8.7.3 any winnings which you have accrued will be forfeited by you (and may be deducted from any deposited returned under paragraph 8.7.2 above).
9. Deposits and Withdrawals
9.1 For players in Great Britain, we are required by our licence to inform players about what happens to monies which we hold on account for them, the extent to which such monies are protected in the event of insolvency, and the categorisation of such protection according to the British Gambling Commission’s customer funds rating system. Monies deposited by you to your Account will be held in a bank account which will be kept separate from our company funds. The monies in your Account are not protected in the event of insolvency. This meets the British Gambling Commission’s and the Malta Gaming Authority’s basic requirements for the segregation of customer funds.

9.5 Your Account will be opened, held and settled in the currency agreed between us and you. All amounts displayed on the Site relating to wagers and winnings will be quoted with the symbol of the relevant currency. We calculate and settle all matters involving exchange rates in accordance with recognised financial institutions at currently applicable exchange rates. Slight differences may occur between the agreed amounts and the recorded amounts due to variances between exchange rates.
9.6 In regards to internal transfers within your Account, we reserve the right to manually correct, without further notice to you, any transaction(s) that may be regarded as speculation in currency fluctuations.
9.7 You may only make deposits into your own Account, and only using a credit card issued or from a bank account or e-wallet account held in you own name. If a deposit is made into your Account from a bank account or card that does not belong to you, we reserve the right to confiscate all associated winnings.
9.8 Winnings will be credited to your Account. Withdrawals from your Account must be made to the payment account from which the deposits were made. Withdrawals can only be made to a credit card, bank account or e-wallet account held in your own name.
9.9 To avoid unnecessary delays in carrying out withdrawal requests, we are dependent on you providing us with complete and correct information and we will not be liable for any delays caused by your failure to provide us with complete and correct information.
9.10 We reserve the right to apply minimum withdrawal amounts for different payout methods as notified to you from time to time in the ‘Payout Information’ section on the Site. If you request a payout of an amount smaller than the minimum withdrawal amount, we reserve the right to charge a discretionary fee for the same depending on the payout method.
9.11 We reserve the right to limit the number of free payouts per customer within a specific time period determined by us. We also reserve the right to charge an increased fee for payouts to bank accounts held with banks located outside the European Union countries.
9.12 We do not allow bets on credit. However, if a result is registered incorrectly and a customer’s Account is credited erroneously, we reserve the right to debit the Account accordingly. 9.15 In addition to any other rights we may have under these Terms, if we incur any charge-backs, reversals or other charges in respect of your Account, we reserve the right to charge you for the relevant amounts incurred. Monies deposited with us in your Account shall not attract interest.
9.16 Any claim regarding a transaction in conjunction with an Account must be made within 6 months of the date the relevant transaction, payment and/or settlement took place, or should have taken place. If a claim is not made within this timeframe, we reserve the right not to consider the claim.
9.17 We may, at any time, set off any positive balance on your Account against any amounts owed by you to us.
9.18 You are responsible for reporting your winnings and losses to the tax and/or other authorities in your jurisdiction (if applicable).
9.19 Deposits made with Paysafecard will not qualify for deposit offers.
10. Sportsbook General Rules
10.1 Each player determines their own stakes, with the exception of the restriction imposed by limits of winnings and possible stake limits. A precondition for the effective placement of a bet is that before the closing deadline for the acceptance of bets there must be sufficient balance in your Account to cover the stake. If your Account balance is insufficient and the shortfall is not remitted in due time meaning that the stake for your bet is only partly covered by your Account balance, the bet is deemed to be placed with a stake corresponding to the remaining balance on the Account.
10.2 A bet is accepted once we have confirmed it. A bet is confirmed when it appears in your Account. In some cases delays may occur between the time the bet is placed by you and the time it is accepted by us. In the event of a dispute over the time when a bet was placed, the time when the bet was accepted by us shall govern.
10.3 Bets placed and accepted in good time may not be revoked or changed. It is therefore your sole responsibility to ensure that all of the details of your bets are correct.
10.4 If a bet is declared invalid or void (e.g. where the betting event is cancelled), the relevant bet will be evaluated as ‘won’ with odds of 1.00. For individual (i.e. single) bets, this means that you will get the amount equal to your stake back. In a multi bet, this means that the total odds will be adjusted accordingly and the multi bet can still be won if all other bets it contains are also won.
10.5 If a bet is placed after the beginning of the betting event, the bet is invalid (this does not include live betting). The bet will be evaluated as ‘won’ using the odds 1.00. For live betting, bets which are received by us after the result of the respective bet has been determined are invalid and will be evaluated as ‘won’ using odds of 1.00.
10.6 The deadline for placing bets will in each case be determined by us in our discretion.
10.7 Bethard reserves the right to decline acceptance of any bet that is deemed to breach any term or rule forming part of our Terms & Conditions.
10.8 We assume no responsibility for typing, transmission and/or evaluation errors. In particular, we reserve the right to correct obvious errors – even after the event – with the input of betting odds and/or the evaluation of betting results (e.g. odds-related, team-related, event-related errors) or declare affected bets void. We accept no liability for the correctness, completeness or accuracy of the information services provided, for example live scores and result messages sent via e-mail. The stake is exclusively the amount confirmed and recorded by us. If an erroneous event/market is cancelled all bets are void and will be evaluated as ‘won’ with odds of 1.00.
10.9 In the case of bets with fixed odds, the gross winnings are calculated by multiplying the stake by the fixed odds. In the case of live bets, you will be able to accept any changes in odds during the bet placement process. Changes in odds are understood to be those which change between the pick being added to the bet slip and the bet being accepted by us. The actual odds are then displayed in the bet confirmation notification. If you do not receive a bet confirmation notification, the bet is still valid if it is displayed in the ‘My Betting History’ section of your Account, under ‘Sports’.
10.10 If you make several equal bets (also the combination of single and multi bets) whose total winnings exceed the winning limit, we are entitled to reduce the stake to the necessary extent in order to comply with the winning limits.
10.11 Unless otherwise stated – whether in the exceptions listed below, in the betting offer or in the special rules of each sport – the principle ‘all bets stand’ applies to all bets. Only in certain exceptional cases will the bet be declared void, including in the following cases:
10.11.1 the event/tournament is cancelled or declared void;
10.11.2 the event/tournament is interrupted and is restarted more than 36 hours after the original start date; and/or
10.11.3 in relation to head-to-head (H2H) bets: if one or more participants withdraw before they have started the event/tournament.
10.12 All bets that are determined (i.e. the outcome is already decided) are valid and will be settled accordingly regardless of subsequent abandonment of the event/tournament at any time.
10.13 We recognise only those results which have been achieved on the playing field or platform. Results amounting from disciplinary measures from a sports court or court of law are not considered. In case of violation of sports laws, we reserve the right to freeze the winnings and withhold payment.
10.14 Live bets are offered exclusively before and during an event on a dedicated live bets platform. The odds are continuously updated to reflect the current status of the game.
10.15 In order to avoid a bet not being accepted due to changes in odds, our system automatically updates the odds before slip confirmation and you should check the latest odds in the betting slip before the confirmation.
10.16 For live bets the results that are known immediately after the conclusion of a betting market will be the ones used to evaluate the winning outcome(s). Subsequent modifications (e.g. results decided by a jury after the game) do not influence settlement of the live bet on offer.
10.17 Live bets are settled on our own statistics which are based on the actual run of play. Unless otherwise stated, in live betting all bets on ‘non-runners’ will be void.

11. Responsible Gambling
